Feel Like Running?

On Wednesdays there are trainings for the experienced practitioners. Harder trainings that put physical, mental and spiritual limits on the spotlight. One of these days, I decided to attempt a new adventure. In opposition to the well-known train system: warm-up, strength, techniques and stretching. I pushed the running theme. Well...

My main idea was to cover the distance between the Praça da Liberdade (Liberty Square) and the Praça Milton Campos (Milton Campos Square) and then return. After a brief warm-up and a long abs session we left through Avenida Brasil (Brasil Avenue) to the Avenida Afonso Pena (Afonso Pena Avenue). Since the beginning of the route, always the line of 14 practitioners was too extense, we from the first group kept waiting for the rest while we were jumping in the same place on the block corners. This way, I was sure everyone was on the same pace.

However, to my susprise, things ended up like these: when we were at the Milton Campos Square, my objective firstly, we still had some gas, at least, from where I was looking. So, we kept the ride. Untill this moment, no one was right of where we were going. Not even myself, I admit.

To sum up, we went up on Afonso Penna Ave till the Praça da Bandeira (Flag Square), the we ran through Bandeirantes Ave till the crossing on Pium-Í Street, where we found a petit square, so we did some squat exercises. Then, we reached Montes Claros Street, and went straight to the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Ave. Some guys were like: "Wow! I didn't realized we went so far!"

Going down by Contorno Ave we ran as fast as we could till Professor De Moraes Ave. So far, we have ran for 1 hour and 40 minutes. The most unbelievable thing is that everybody was smilling, even dead tired. We could do the end of the strength exercises routine. But, that night, i chose for stretching and açaí.

Below, the route we did, aproximadetely 8Km with hard up and downhills, plus a lot of legs exercises, jumping and no talking.

Wait for more challenges.

Good trainings for everyone,

Bruno Rachacuca.
